A new cultural facility in the historical center of Smolensk has opened on Bakunin Street.
The House of Music is a six–storey building with a total area of more than 3,000 square meters. There is a concert hall for more than 200 spectators, as well as a conference hall.
The main instrument of the House of Music is a unique brass organ, one of the largest in number of registers and one of the first private modern organs of the 21st century in Russia.
Not only organ music, but also chamber, symphonic, choral, vocal, baroque and modern academic music, as well as works performed on the harpsichord, will be played from the stage here. Concerts, festivals, contests, public and charity events, including programs for children, are planned to be held at the House of Music.
The volume of investments in the project amounted to about 250 million rubles. 10 jobs have been created.
