Progress report on the “Expansion of the rabbit breeding farm on the new feed lot for housing 15.82 heads of parent stock and 1.024 heads of the nucleus stock at the address: the Tokarevo village area, Gagarin District, Smolensk Region” and “Expansion of a processing area” investment project (the Gagarin District)

KROL i K LLC is the largest full-cycle pedigree industrial complex in Russia, operating on the advanced European technologies. It includes the industrial facilities for housing and growing meat rabbits, its own fodder plant with the “Himel” German concern equipment, the modern slaughterhouses and processing areas, the reproducing laboratory, where is housing the pedigree stock - the farm gene pool, as well as its own vehicle fleet equipped with refrigerating plants.
The farm is fully equipped with automated facilities for all processes (feeding, watering, manure disposal, ventilation, cooling, heating), it owns the fodder base with the capacity of 650 ha and 18 heads of doe rabbits, which get up to 750 rabbits a year. The production capacity of chilled meat amounts to 1 tons a year.
The company`s commodity nomenclature is represented by 33 items: rabbit carcass, semi-finished products (cutlets, marinades, etc.). At the same time, the products range is constantly expanding. The company also actively cooperates with companies specializing in the child nutrition (FrutoNyanya, Babushkino Lukoshko), supplying them with rabbit fillet.
KROL i K LLC was included in the list of approved companies for granting state support in the form of a property tax benefit.
In 2019, there was completed the construction of a genetic-breeding center for reproducing parent doe rabbits in the amount of 23 heads a year together with the HYPHARM French company (the company offering expert knowledge in animal genetics for selecting and marketing pedigree rabbits around the world, as well as for providing biopharmaceutics products and services). The project implementation will allow continuing the import substitution program and increasing the farm breeding stock as well as breeding rabbits for slaughter.
At present, the company `s products are represented under the SMOLPRODUCT regional single brand.
Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2019, there was signed an Agreement between KROL i K LLC and the Administration of the Smolensk Region on Cooperation in implementation of the “Expansion of the rabbit breeding farm on the new feed lot for housing 15.82 heads of parent stock and 1.024 heads of the nucleus stock at the address: the Tokarevo village area, Gagarin District, Smolensk Region” and “Expansion of a processing area” investment projects.
Ceremonial opening of the production facility with presence of the Smolensk Region Governor was held on June 15th 2020. The production capacity doubled up to 2 thousand tons per year.
The total investment value for expansion of processing facility amounted to 150 million rubles. Social effect: 20 job openings.
The Governor visited the site on which the investment project for farm expansion is being implemented.
The total investment value for farm expansion project will amount to 1.1 billion rubles. Social effect: 50 job openings.
The project implementation for farm expansion is going to be conducted in the following way: every 7 weeks 2 fabric buildings will be put into operation and 10 people will be employed.
The first three fabric buildings will be put into operation in September 2020. To implement the project at the end of November 2019 KROL i K LLC bought land plots with an area of 19.74 ha near the Tokarevo village, Gagarin District.
What is more, in January 2020 technological connection to power supply networks was carried out, as well as two lines of 10 kW were built, and gas supply was connected.
