The Smolensk Region delegation participated in the "Made in Russia" import substitution forum

The International Cooperation Forum on import substitution "Made in Russia" took place in the city of Mogilev from October 25th to 27th.

The forum was organized by the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee with the support of the Embassy and Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus.

The forum brought together business representatives from 14 regions of Russia, including Smolensk. The main participants of the dialogue were export-oriented enterprises of the two countries.

Smolensk business was represented at the forum by entrepreneurs from machine building, road and construction industries, household and industrial chemicals. During the negotiations, the parties discussed the establishment and development of co-operative ties, interaction of small and medium enterprise and large enterprises with government authorities.

The Forum included a plenary session, thematic discussions, sections, presentation of goods of export-oriented enterprises, B2B negotiations, and an exhibition of commodity producers of the Russian Federation.

"The International Cooperation Forum on import substitution "Made in Russia" is a great opportunity to find new business partners for the export-oriented companies of our Region, as well as to establish alternative channels for export and import of manufactured products," noted Alexander Kazakov, General Director of the Investment Development Corporation of the Smolensk Region.
