Progress report on “Upgrading the preparatory, weaving and finishing facilities for technical and job fabrics producing” investment project (the Yartsevo Region)

In February 2018, within the framework of an investment forum in Sochi there was held a signing ceremony for an Agreement between the Administration of the Smolensk Region and the Union of Textile Companies LLC, which provides for the investment of more than 800 million rubles into upgrading the preparatory, weaving and finishing facilities of the Yartsevo Cotton Plant.

Union of Textile Companies LLC is the main shareholder of Yartsevo Cotton Plant LLC. The aim of the investment project implementation is increase in production and expansion of the high demand technical fabrics range (job fabrics), increase in profitability of fabrics sales. Under the project, the company plans to purchase additional preparatory, weaving and finishing machinery. It is also planned to upgrade infrastructure by modernization of the following facilities: compressor and steam boiler house, water treatment system, heating system, gas pipeline.

Currently, Yartsevo Cotton Product (the Union of Textile Companies LLC) is one of the largest enterprises in the textile industry not only in the Smolensk Region, but also in Russia. In addition, Yartsevo Cotton Product LLC participates in the project on producing fabrics for manufacturers of soft furniture for IKEA company.
