Progress report on the “Pig Breeding Farm Modernization” investment project (the Gagarin District)

The main activities are pig breeding and producing prepared fodders. The purpose of the farm establishment was to ensure the internal food security and import substitution with high quality products, manufactured by local goods producers. 

The project is aimed at achieving a better life quality and providing employment for the rural population in the region. 

The operating production site includes a fodder plant and 4 buildings for keeping pigs. The site capacity allows for the one-time housing 406 pigs, which provides means for breeding 9.6 heads a year; this is 1.056.000 kg of pork (live weight). The farm need in quality and safe fodders is fully covered by the fodder plant with the production capacity of 5 tons an hour. There are used the latest technologies for equipping the farm. Animal keeping is computerized: microclimate, feeding, water supply, manure and sewage disposal are being under control. 

There are two additional buildings for the one-time keeping 550 breeding pigs per each, as well as a slaughterhouse, a pork processing facility with the capacity of 100 heads per shift, an administrative building and a weighing room that are currently under construction on the plant premises. 

After the pig breeding complex reaches a full capacity, the total production output of Myasnoy Razgulyay LLC will amount to 20 heads a year.
