Progress report on the “Construction of a fish farm aimed at growing 1 tons of commercial trout annually” investment project (the Roslavl and the Velizh Districts)

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Governor of the Smolensk Region and the General Director of Galaktika-O LLC signed an Agreement on fish farm construction in the region for growing of 1 tons of commercial trout annually. 

The company specializes in developing and engineering freshwater and marine fish farming complexes, manufacturing and supplying fishing equipment to aquaculture enterprises, and sales of trout seed (baby fish). 

The investment project is implemented in the territory of two municipalities – the Roslavl and Velizh Districts. The fishing trap lines with an area of 7 thousand m2 (30 fish traps) are placed at the territory of the Desnogorsk water storage basin in the Roslavl District.

Finishing works are in progress. In the Velizh District there were built the fishing trap lines with an area of 2 300 m2 (40 fish traps) for the annual growing stock of rainbow trout.
